Children develop quickly in the early years, and early years practitioners aim to do all they can to help children have the best possible start in their education. At Springwood we feel it is important to ensure a smooth transition from home to school.

Within the setting all children are supported in developing their potential at their own pace.  We have a planned curriculum tailored to meet the needs of each individual child, by providing developmentally appropriate activities and a high level of individual adult input.

Although we plan for all seven areas of learning in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage guidance, we believe that the Prime areas of Communication and Language, Personal, Social and Emotional Development and Physical Development are fundamental, therefore, the close emotional attachments all practitioners develop with children and families is of paramount importance to us.
