At Springwood Primary Academy we want all pupils to feel valued. One of the ways we do this is to give pupils extra responsibilities and ensure they understand how important and appreciated their role in our school is.

Pupils learn about democracy when voting for their class representatives. Elections are organised and delivered by our local electoral service.

School Council

The role of a School Councillor is a very important one. Our School Council meet regularly with Miss Smith leading on their chosen areas of development within the school, organising fundraising opportunities for the school Charity of Choice. 

Active Travel

The role of an Active Travel representative is very influential. Our Active Travel team meet regularly with Mr Bowers to encourage active travel to and from school; to remain active outside the Academy and make travel to and from school safer through our direct work with the local council.
