Year 3 marks the start of Key Stage 2 and brings new challenges, expectations and opportunities for independence. We aim to create a calm, engaging learning environment where children are encouraged to develop confidence, resilience and a positive attitude to learning.

Our focus is on helping children grow their minds — showing determination, having a go, and learning from mistakes. By the end of the year, we want all children to leave Year 3 as happy, confident and curious learners.

At home, we ask that children:

• 📖 Read at least four times a week, signed on their bookmark to earn a prize

• 🔢 Practise times tables (2×, 3×, 4×, 5×, 8× and 10×)

• 🏠 Complete their termly homework project, set on Class Dojo

Spellings and times tables are tested weekly.
